Craft Wine and Spirit Changes

The Government of Saskatchewan announced changes for cottage wineries and microdistilleries on Sept. 13.

The changes are focused on creating business opportunities for Saskatchewan wine and spirit manufacturers by eliminating regulatory barriers to growth. Specifically the changes are intended to:

·
Make it easy to get started as a craft alcohol producer in Saskatchewan.
· Have a competitive markup structure.
· Reduce red tape for craft producers.
· Streamline access to the marketplace.
